This year’s scholarship program at the 58th Annual Building Awards program on Friday was AMAZING!
Six students from Ralph McKee, Staten Island Tech and Petrides High School received scholarships towards their continued education in the Architecture, Engineering and Electrical Engineering trades. Since 2016, the Staten Island Chapter of the AIA, along with the HIC of Staten Island have provided over $28,000 worth of scholarship to deserving students that demonstrated outstanding scholastic achievements, and who are pursuing careers in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction, HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical Trades.
Thanks to Frank Martarella of Think Design Architecture, the Vice President of the AIA, for assisting me with awarding the students their scholarships.
A big thanks to the AIA, the attendees of our Top Golf Outing (where we raised $$ for the scholarship with our 50/50), Jon Adamo of Phase One Construction, Frank and Tom Scarangello of Bob Mims Heating & Air Conditioning and Scaran Heating & Air Conditioning, Steve Coppola of APB Security, Dan Ragusa of Firebird Sweep, Sean Conaghan of Valpak of SI, the SI Chamber of Commerce, Chad & Danielle Reyes of Wealth & Legacy Group, and Corey Schiffer of Casale Jewelers for making contributions towards this special program.
